How to become a happier person

A person can become happier in their life by just simply adopting daily habits which changes their attitudes. Some of the simple habits which  will change our attitude towards life and help us in becoming a happier person are:

Smiling

The simplest technique in our interactions with others. Greeting our family, colleagues with a smile.

Exercise helps in reducing anxiety, tension and diverts attention from the overstress in life providing joy.

 

Sleep

Good and plenty of sleep according to one’s requirement is essential for a person to be fresh during the day.

 

Kindness towards others

By being kind and nice to others especially towards the needy ones give us a self satisfaction making a person happier indeed.

 

Giving a compliment

Praising others on their achievements and success with open heart is essential.

 

Avoid comparing yourself to others

Every person has their own life and their own circumstances which they face. So avoid comparing yourself to others in things like achievements, success, life goals and so on.

 

Meet friends that make you happy

Have meetings with your friendsweekly or monthly that are supportive to you and make you happy.

 

Put aside mobile phone / social media

Have some time for the real life social people including the friends, family apart from the mobile and share joys with them.

 

Don’t hold grudges

By holding grudges against person one is themselves always sad, angry. So by not holding grudges against anybody it is a secret to a happier life.

 

Positive thinking

Always try to think positively and take situations positively. Avoid negative thoughts and be calm.

 

Eat healthy

Eating healthy food also keeps active and fresh leading to a more healthy life keeping a person happier also.

 

Keep a hobby or adopt a pet

If you like any animal such as a bird or cat etc keep them a pet or start a hobby like painting, trekking that can make you a happier person.
